Mercedes-Benz’s AMG division pledged late last year that it would partner with Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati in a number of marketing activities. Apparently, this new promo spot for the new 2012 C63 AMG Coupe appears to be one of the brand’s first car-bike tie-ins.
Our film opens with a close-up of a stylish man, who walks onto the porch of his stylish Oceanside home, and surveys the seaside below. Suddenly, an equally stylish female companion — previously seen sleeping in bed — appears, carrying keys, a motorcycle helmet, and a single question:
“Are you ready?”
A smirk must double as an affirmative answer, as the camera quickly cuts to the garage. The two set off — he behind the wheel of the new C63 AMG Coupe; she atop a matching white Ducati 848 Evo — to carve their way through canyon filled with all sorts of twists, turns, and — of course — beautiful scenery.
The destination? A beachside bistro for a spot of breakfast, or so it appears. The victor? Well, you’ll have to watch the clip below to see who arrives first.
